Today we had a glorious sunny day at Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. Sylwia brought along an old, traditional large format film camera and spent much of the visit doing an impression of Henry d’Ascoyne in Kinds Hearts and Coronets, with a black cape over her head as she struggled to focus. She emerged briefly from under it and I managed to snap her picture. There was something in her look that said ‘Highlander’ to me:- p.s. Sylwia asked me to mention re her hairdo that it was in fact a windy day!
