Our last wedding at Lennoxlove was in the depths of winter, so Lauren and Jamie’s wedding was a pleasantly warm change! The day started off for Sylwia with her photographing Lauren’s preparations at Lennoxlove, with make up expertly applied by Sharon Webster of Made-Up.
The wedding ceremony itself took place at the beautiful and grand St. Mary’s Church in Haddington. Despite the weather holding fine, the wind was rather icy, so we shortened the formals somewhat and made a bee-line for the welcoming warmth of Lennoxlove.
I was especially pleased to find out that Jamie had gone to the same secondary school as I had, though I was there more than a few years earlier, and Jamie distinguished himself with his sporting achievements while he was there somewhat more than I had. Memo to self: I really must do some of that jogging that I’ve been planning to for the last few years.
We stayed a little later to capture some more of the dancing, which was suitably vigorous and jolly. As one of the (lady) guests commented after being whirled round someone’s head on the dance floor: “These guys really take no prisoners!”
As you can see, it was a beautiful and happy day, and everyone enjoyed themselves – us included!
